Fair play, having listened to that I can see what you mean! Never been a big INXS fan...

If I remember correctly the phrasing's one semitone different in the first bar, and the synth string effect is pretty much identical. I only clocked the comparison at the Shepherd's Bush Empire when I went to see RMT. They were playing INXS tracks one after the other, I reckon to try and wind up one of Roger's guests, Bob Geldof. Of course, Never Tear Us Apart came on, and just for a split second. I thought it was TSMGO. Up until that point, I'd never noticed any comparisons.

Somebody to love, all time.

I'd have to say '39, although it's stupidly difficult to decide :)

Obvious choice but Bo Rhap for me. Greatest single ever released.

In terms of impact on changing the public perception about what a single "should" conform to, without a doubt. In terms of changing how bands promote a single, ie a video in the form of a designated promotional tool to globally sell a record when you can't be everywhere at once, revolutionary.

The Show Must Go On still edges it for me, but it's not based in anything you can put down to statistics.
