Yeah, they give you a watermark, the bastards.
I've managed to do it in an extremely convoluted way...uploading to YouTube, then downloading using KeepVid.com.

MediaCoder is a fabulous program for converting just about any video or audio file into any video or audio file. Totally free and unrestricted.

Well I've managed to convert it into .mp4, but now when I try to edit it (using Windows Live Movie Maker), the audio always goes out of sync :?

Back in Nov/Dec 2006 I got a PM from a member of this board. It wasn't deleted as it something I wanted to keep. I've just been through my Saved and Inbox but its not there. My Inbox only goes back as far 2007.

Are our PM boxes autopruned? If so, after how long and will this PM be retrieveable at all?

Sorry to be a nuisance

EMI techs massively pruned everything on the forums (posts, PM's etc) when we moved over to the new database server a year or two ago (much to my disgust), I raised objections at the time, but apparently this massive global company can't afford it's forums to have a couple of hundred MB of data stored...

I can't see any youtube videos posted on QOL. Just a square and nothing else. Except me there's one more member who has the same problem. What is weird it started after both of us installed Yahoo IM.
Any ideas? Advices?
Ooh, it makes me wonder...

Try installing the latest version of Flash Player from http://www.adobe.com and make sure you have the latest version of Java installed from http://www.java.com :)

Oh, my. Ok. I'll try. Thank you. :)
But why I could see them before without all that installed?

It's possible that something else you've installed has mucked up the flash install. I'm not saying it WILL fix it, I'm saying it's the first thing you should try :)

Yeah, I have a 6 minute clip but only want the middle 2 minutes or so.

Right...Erm...In that case, use the MediaCoder to save the video as AVI. Maybe DivX, Xvid or something like that. Then use a program called VirtualDub to clip the video to 2 minutes. I think you can clip without re-encoding the video and losing more quality. VDub will only output to AVI.

Just noticed that the PC I restored is showing no audio device now. Anyway of reinstalling it as I might have a buyer for it.
