Glasgow was un-feckin'-believable!
Paul was on fire.
Simple Man was extraordinary. Shooting Star was sublime. The mandolin solo on Feel Like Makin Love, I think it was the best version of it I've ever heard.

Some shouted something about Queen and Paul replied "what's that" or "eh?" or something in a jokey way.
And when he said back cooly and calmy, "I can't hear I word you're saying."

king.

I think it's the best PR gig I've ever seen.

The band were awesome and seemed pretty together. Seagull was beautiful.

Amazing.

Awesome. :D Someone put a recording of Simple Man at Newcastle on youtube, can't stop listening to it!

Heh, the mandolin solo is so cool!

Who shouted about Queen? :o At solo stuff that's all good because he plays stuff from his whole career from Free to Q+PR, but people kept shouting for Free songs too at one of the shows, it's a Bad Company tour!

I heard someone behind me saying "will he play all right now?" and I just thought please leave.

I can't remember what the Queen bit was about. I think Paul said something like "last time I was here we made a DVD together" and then someone shouted about Queen. He was so loose and jokey, was good. At one point he went "I'm sorry, I'm being silly."

What a freaking god!

Yeah he seemed very playful at the two I saw, in Birmingham someone shouted out "Paul I Love you" really loud at quite a quiet moment and he put on a daft voice and said "I love you too m'dear". :P Bitch. :-P

Let's be a little bit fair about this, then. Paul was just about filling 1000 seater venues prior to teaming up with Brian and Roger. If nothing else, then it's exposed him to a lot of people who are now prepared to go and see him for what he is, one of this country's finest rock/blues singers.

It's arguable it's right for him to front Queen, or whether or not you might like him singing Queen songs, but can you really imagine anyone else doing a better version of his own songs? Not really, no!

Not sure I completely follow that...Anyone other than him doing better versions of his own songs or anyone other than "Queen"?

His own songs. There's people out there that can do individual Queen songs better than him, but I'm not sure they'd be able to bring as much of their own credibility and do a whole show. The point of my post was that whatever you think of the product, the Q+PR project has seemed to have achieved something from both perspectives.

Oh absolutely. I think it's one and only negative point was that not all fans, of Paul's or Queen's, enjoyed or supported what you'd now have to say was a mutually beneficial project. Paul's profile has been boosted, the last of Queen guys managed two tour which listening to Brian now, will be a long time coming again. Obviously no one can help not enjoying something or being against the name, just seems a shame for them.

Thankyou Paul Rodgers, for your time, effort and massive talent - enabling Queen to go out again from 2005 - 2008.
I salute you

Dayyyyum Paul tears it up on this Deal with the Preacher from Wembley.
The long note he hits on "I sure ain't no fool anymore" is just wicked sick.
Jimmy Page was in attendance apparently.

Amazing!
Did anyone just catch him on Jools Holland?

Also, is it just me or did it look like Wembley was being properly filmed. I don't mean that guy who posted but the guys with cameras on stage and on the ground. Another DVD?!

Oh FFS! I was watching Jools Holland and I was sure he said Paul Rodgers. Someone turned over and I thought I'd misheard.

He was only on for about a minute, singing "Cryin' Time".
Watch the extended version on Friday night and he'll be on for longer.
