The Official FAQ Forum

Postby Mad MikeSpit » Mon Jan 09, 2006 12:01 pm

Folks,

Welcome to this exciting new forum on the Queenonline messageboard. The forum was created to compliment the History section on the main Queenonline website.

As you may be aware, the History section was compiled by a number of fans from this very forum, however not all info made it to the final site, so for the first time ever, this information will be made available in this new forum. (Note: This might take a little time to do, you'll see this grow over time).

Credit where credit is due, the following posters from this forum helped develop the History section, and much of the stuff in this forum:

Kes
Champs
Sir Didymus
Manfrommanhatten
Sammy
Sully
Ogre R Taylor
John S Stuart (Ultimate Collection posts)

This forum will also be used to store the wealth of information posted by some of our hardcore collectors and Queen gurus, such as John S Stuart and Kes and others to name a few.

You'll also find frequently asked questions posted here, as well as a chance for you to post feedback about the History section.

Be warned however, in order to maintain a quality forum, this section will be heavily moderated.

Enjoy!

Cheers
Mike

PS. Thanks to Didy for suggesting this initiative. :)

It's very nice to have somewhere where people can go to basically just read up on the band, and maybe broaden their knowledge a little. We have a few excellent reference and knowledgable assets posting on this site, like John S. Stuart for example, who by example here, has to have one of the biggest private Queen archives in the world. I think this forum has the potential to utilise these assets for the benefit of the fanbase.

Subtle title - could be worse, they could have left the 'We Will' off! :)

On a personal level, I am flattered to be part of any project which pushes the Queen envelope for most fans.

More importantly however, it is really a good idea to have a FAQ section, where all such mails and ideas can be easily accessed.

Hopefully, someone, somewhere, may find these guides useful, thus making the whole exercise worthwhile.

Thank you John S. Stuart. :) I am really ENJOYING this new section. Thanks for all your effort, and for sharing your knowledge with all of us. Thanks also to everyone else who contributed: Dydy, Gordie...well and many more, for their ideas and their efforts. :) . I'm sure the QOL community will appreciate this a lot.
