as Doing Alright was a Smile song would that class as a cover version?

In one way yes, but in another no. Brian May was the co-writer of the song. I should add a section called "semi-covers" because Foolin' Around, Living On My Own and Let Me Out was played in improvisations.

As lots of the songs are coverd by many people, what about including the authors.

Good work. All you need to do now to make the page more legible is to make the tiles bold and the authors italicised. Or put them in a table.
