Re: Queen + Paul Rodgers!

The same album might have worked better the other way around. Labeling it "RTM", people might have said, it's a great rockalbum and it sometimes even has some "Queen-moments".... ;) That's why I referred to the band as QPR. It's not Queen, not in the same way, nor could it ever be. And that's okay....

Re: Odd song placements on albums

I know one intended title for the album, while it was being recorded, was "The Invisable Men" That's true. It was a last-minute decision to change it to "The Miracle". Don't quote me on the next part, but I think there were even some promotional materials made with the original title. They also int...

I honestly really like "Khashoggi's Ship", but "Party" does nothing for me.
Try it with a good pair of headphones, volume way up... listen for all the little details you've missed. It's really amazing!

But that's just my 2 cents.

Re: Queen + Paul Rodgers!

I was too young and too behind the Iron Curtain to see Queen live with Freddie. I'm too old to like Adam what's-his-face. I saw QPR twice, once on each tour. To me, that's MY Queen. I miss that band terribly. Oh, and the album is still in my car and always will be. Some badass songs on there. Love i...

Re: Odd song placements on albums

I totally agree, Party has the most pathetic drum sound to start an album. I strongly disagree. Granted, the drums don't sound great, but what a song! Punchy drumming, great solo, fabulous harmonies, key and tempo changes, self-referential lyrics and a joke or two. It's like all the Queen trademark...

No Leaf Clover...

I know it's like saying that "Citizen Kane" is the greatest movie ever made, but there's a reason for that. It is.

No Leaf Clover is the greatest Metallica song. I'll fight anyone who says otherwise!

I need to move on.
Again?

What is this, the 10th time now?

At least when I left, I left for good. I mean, I'm back for a while... but not really.

Anyway, you'll be back. You're gonna miss it. I know you :)
