Re: The Miracle Box set

I remember seeing an interview with Brian dated in 2000 referring to the Anthologies (I think someone posted it on the old forum before it was deleted) and of course the Freddie boxset book itself did refer to the 'upcoming' Queen anthology. There was a demo, I think of what become All God's People ...

Re: The Miracle Box set

Aw man, if I could tell my twenty year younger self that the Anthologies aren't actually going to get released, you'd see the look of something who is very disappointed.

Re: Greatest Hits

They could definitely do a cassette version of the studio collection, make all the cassettes different colours etc and put them in a nice box. I don't know how many they'd actually have to sell to break even though and wouldn't want to guess. I do sort of see the cassette revival stalling though as,...

Re: Greatest Hits

Sure, there's no need. Is there really a need to release any album on cassette in 2021? It's just a collectable novelty, really.

Re: Greatest Hits

Greatest Hits has been spending more time in the UK top 10. 8 last week, 7 this week. And placed at number 8 for the whole of 2020. It's now been in the album chart for 927 weeks so 1000 weeks is a genuine possibility for next year. Although looks like Abba's Gold will make it first as that album is...

Re: Live Around The World

I love that Brian is involved with something like that! Here in the UK, they're still reluctant to let even partial crowds back into football stadiums which don't have any issue with airflow, of course. So I'm not sure if their ideas and solutions for indoor events will actually help in terms of con...

Re: Live Around The World

Oh yeah, QAL in June. I hadn't thought about that since they announcement the first vaccine was approved in the UK. Wouldn't it be great by June if we can have full arenas again? I wonder what the chances are?

Re: New Queen Vinyl Collection on Hatchette Partworks

Innuendo arrived yesterday. Pretty decent as the whole thing only cost a few seconds of my time and they did not have to do that. Maybe demonstrates how underwhelming subscriptions had been though that they were willing to do that, who knows? Idea: as a companion to The Studio Collection....The Conc...

Re: New Queen Vinyl Collection on Hatchette Partworks

Got an update just now and it's not good news Thanks again for subscribing to Queen The Vinyl Collection during our limited test run. We have now had time to analyse the results of the test. Unfortunately, due to the impact of COVID-19 on retail sales, these were not sufficient to proceed to a full ...

Re: Live Around The World

Didn't follow after the first week but pleasantly surprised to see LATW still at 41 in the UK charts. Greatest Hits is 21, which tells its own story, but kind of thought it would drop out the top 100 pretty quick.

Update as of the new chart on the 27th Nov...52 last week and 62 this week.
