Re: The Miracle Box set

That article isn't very well researched. It says it's "Queen's eighth live album, but the first without founding member and lead singer Freddie Mercury". Return of the Champions and Live In Ukraine spring to mind. But if you think about what they've put out since MIH, it's a bit of a shocker that L...

Re: The Miracle Box set

Correct me if I'm wrong, but it feels like they've done more mainstream promotion of this album than any of the projects that have come since MiH, other than perhaps when they were hyping the "new" tracks on Forever. Obviously there was promotion for the movie, but that was more aimed to get people...

Re: The Miracle

Aha yes Innuendo has this magic place in the middle, when it's super quite ...... and then the orchestral part ... Innuendo.... what a great album to follow the Miracle! Does anyone also think that the song The Miracle and the song Innuendo have something in common? The Miracle has also something s...

Re: Jazz

This is what Zakk Wylde said: ‘Wow, we’re working with Roy Thomas Baker! He worked with Brian May!’ I was thinking that this was where all the magic was gonna happen. But pretty early on, I knew that wasn’t going to be the case. There was one time I was listening back to some guitar tracks, and I sa...

Re: Jazz

The only thing that makes this album lose something of its magic is the bad soud engineerring. My guess is, that they were in love with headphones at that time. Even the first song "Mustapha" works best on headphones with the changing contrast between the mono and the exploding wide stereo. And tha...

Re: Jazz

Roy thomas baker blame, I guess. That's always been my guess too. I wish they had continued to do it like they did on ADATR and NOTW. Both have their own sound, but sound absolutely crystal clear and LARGE. With Jazz everything feels so small in comparison, especially the drums. There's no life whe...

Re: Flash Gordon

I love this album, it is a masterpiece of instrumental music. Very similar progressive but it goes under the radar from the majority of Queen fans. The first side is great music, while the second side has Vultan's theme, escape from the swamp,( the haunted ending) of The wedding March and of course ...

Re: Jazz

Jazz is one of their best album, it is their White album, very eclectic like their previous works, very pioneer with new fresh ideas and also Queen trade mark sounds. Bicycle Race has identical part with The fairy feller's master stroke in the middle, Dead on time is similar with Keep yourself alive...
