Re: Your latest Queen buys Part 2

Pretty sure that's correct. I've never really listened to any of the numerous remixes but I know some are supposed to be awful . It depends on who you talk to, I guess. None of the US ones were particularly memorable... but tbh I found the weakest remix of all the YDFM ones to be the David Richards...

Re: Your latest Queen buys Part 2

The Dancing Divaz Mix that was on the cassette single was an absolute banger. Off hand I can't remember if the same version is on the CD and 12" (though I have both) but I love it! The Hollywood Records 12" has a range of different remixes... am I right in thinking some of those haven't had a digita...

Re: Restructuring Innuendo

One thing I found out from the Innuendo - Back to the Tapes day out, was that some songs have so much going on, that they needed two 48-track recorders synced up, to be able to put all their ideas down. This gives phenomenal potential, to create different versions, or focus on some of the ideas tha...

Re: Restructuring A Kind of Magic

But I could see the logic in the other songs getting an EP release so they're not lost completely. Even if they are mostly filler. The beauty of doing a proper Highlander soundtrack is A Kind of Magic isn't going anywhere, so all the other songs and album versions will still be available. By a High...

Re: Restructuring Innuendo

To start with, here's what I'd do... and it'd undoubtedly be a double LP. INNUENDO: REWORKED SIDE A Innuendo I Can't Live With You [1997 'Rocks' Retake] Headlong Driven By You Brian May version - as a stand-in for a Queen version SIDE B All God's People Ride the Wild Wind Don't Try So Hard I'm Going...

Restructuring Innuendo

I know, I know, this album is near perfect... but to keep the series going, I thought it was worth considering. Especially as, in my last thread, I used some tracks which later ended up on 90s albums on The Miracle set, and also because, as great as it is, Innuendo does have a few niggles. So, you k...

Re: Restructuring A Kind of Magic

Forget restructuring A Kind of Magic (to significantly improve it you'd have to drop all the filler, and by that point you wouldn't be left with enough for an album). Just release a proper Highlander soundtrack album. Well, that's kinda what I said in Post #2. ;) But I could see the logic in the ot...

Re: The Miracle Box set

 It would be a travesty if they released individual member version. The whole thing about the Miracle is that it represented unity of the band on the back of Freddie's plight, and the first time all songs were credited to Queen, not an individual writer. A travesty? In the immortal words of ...

Re: The Miracle Box set

Not cool to complain about the miracle album because of other decisions from Queen management. Look at the i want it all book. It will be released next year. I am convinced the miracle will also be released, with lots unrleased stuff which will possibly contain rough versions of the released versio...

Re: It is time for "The Solo Collection" to not only be re-released but released in the U.S. for the first time.

The most obvious way I can see for them to re-release it, if they were so inclined, would be as a digital download. A very easy way for them to get it all out there at a minimum of expense for people who don’t have the box (or the spare cash to get one second hand) to access. I can think of several...
