An act of appeasement, or acknowledgement that what happened wasn't right? Guess we'll have to wait and see what comes of it to answer that one.
Yep!

Re: Formula 1

Mercedes have elected to not pursue the protest. In my mind it is the right decision as whoever ended up world champion is going to have that question asked. In Lewis's case, he would have only won it through a legal challenge. No need to mention the Max situation. One thing is for sure, Michael Mas...

Re: Formula 1

2022 I am hoping will be better thanks to the new rules. Max and Lewis may not dominate as they have this year. It will be exciting to see Sainz and Leclerc in the ferrari's challenging, Lando and the Honey Badger as well. Let's not forget the former champions in Vettel and Alonso. It will also be g...

Re: Formula 1

Yeah, I don't really know what else could be done. I don't think it would be fair to strip Max of his title because he himself did nothing wrong. But at the same time Mercedes, Lewis and everyone from Sainz backwards were clearly screwed by a blatantly uneven and invented application of the rules. ...

Re: Formula 1

Re Sainz, firstly the only possible benefit he could have received was a second place in the race - it would have had no effect on his championship placing. Secondly, do you really think he could have challenged Max on that lap? Really? He's good, but his car just wasn't that good. No, I don't thin...

Re: Formula 1

Strong rumours that Michael Masi will be sacked. If this happens I reckon Mercedes will drop their protest.

Oh that is so awful, I had to laugh.

Re: Formula 1

Can you imagine Horner if the positions were reversed? He would be screaming blue murder.

And what is it with the scum Dutch fans booing Lewis, even when he congratulated Max? I mean absolute morons.

Re: Formula 1

Getting back to the start of the race, if the rule is that when carrying out an oblvertake on a corner, you have to leave room for the car you're overtaking, either stick to that being a rule, or consistently ignore it, and remove it from the rulebook. Red Bull should never have been arguing that M...

Re: Formula 1

The best solution I could think up in the immediate aftermath was voiding Max and Lewis’ results from the final race - that way, Max still wins on countback, Lewis loses fair and square, and they’re both so far ahead of everyone else their final standings wouldn’t be affected. But I’m not sure the ...
