Re: Radio Ga Ga Extended Mix

Think my favourite 12" by Queen, is Scandal, but I think I'm probably one of the few that actually likes the song. I like 'scandal' too, surprised it performed poorly as a single. I think it contains one of Brian's best 80s guitar solos. The remix is good too- pity the CD single commands pretty hig...

Re: too much love will kill you credits

The version with Freddie singing, came out on bootlegs well before MIH, and was quite likely an edited version of what was finally released on MIH. I know that was listed as a demo, even if was the final mix. You can't really trust listings on bootlegs, that's for sure. Since then, I've heard sever...

Re: Made In Heaven and related release dates

I think that was a “special” arrangement that had to happen so UMG could retain the Beatles catalog. A strange one!

Re: too much love will kill you credits

Because of the fact it had writers outside of Queen, I think was the reason it was not progressed beyond demo state for The Miracle. I’m a little confused by this as there is picture of the master tape showing TMLWKY as a finished track only to be removed at the last minute due to publishing issues...

Re: Rudi’s Latest Claim

I thought that ‘The Untold Story’ focussed more on Freddie than the band. Isn’t that the only documentary where Roger doesn’t appear in it?

Re: Restructuring The Works

I like the running order of ‘The Works’. Apart from the slight misstep with ‘Man On The Prowl’ which could be swapped (possibly with ‘Man on Fire’) it’s pretty much perfect to me. The album holds a special place for me as it’s the first Queen album I bought on CD back in December 1994 when I got my ...

Re: Made In Heaven and related release dates

Veering slightly off topic... it would be nice to have a proper singles collection of 7” vinyl. It would have to be done properly with the correct b-sides which they got a bit lazy with the CD single boxsets. Also proper reproduction of the labels and not something generic. I know this could prove d...

Re: Rudi’s Latest Claim

I thought that the 'Days of our lives' documentary from the 40th anniversary (Simon Lupton / Rhys Thomas) was one of the best ones. Never been a fan of DoRo product.

Re: The Miracle Box set

As far as I'm aware, no member of Queen ever looks at this site, but people who talk to them do. I guess it still is one method of access, that can, and I use the word loosely, have an effect on product. And here is me thinking that John Deacon sits at his computer on a night gathering notes from t...

Nice analogy - but I would say that a tin of quality street is how Roger’s drums sound.
