Re: Freddie Mercury - The Final Act

The problem with queen documentaries is that they are all over the place so you can't piece together a proper chronological story of the band in some logical order.... First we had the 'days of our lives'... this was great - concise, was reasonably accurate but didn't it miss the 'a kind of magic' a...

Re: Queen 1

So been a queen fan since the early 1990s and never realised the debut on cassette had a completely different running order to the LP. Thank god I didn't grow up with the cassette cos I'm not sure it works.... strange also it wasn't corrected with the first round of remasters in 1993 https://i.ibb.c...

Re: BM solo re-releases: "We're working on a plan"

Got the 2-CD-Digipack today and it looks quite nice, though it could have had a little more "space" for the discs and booklet...don't like it when you barely can't get them out of the case. This is a problem - ended up with 1cm tear on the front of mine trying to get CD1 out. Who’s bright idea was ...

Re: BM solo re-releases: "We're working on a plan"

In respect of Brixton getting a release, providing they aren't planning on the Gold Series being just two releases, then I'm not too worried about Another World being worked on. Yeah, I'd be surprised if a "series" meant just two things. Then again, it's not like Brian never got bored of an idea an...

Re: BM solo re-releases: "We're working on a plan"

For those hoping for a Brixton Academy release might be disappointed as I just saw on Brian's Instagram that he just mentioned that Another World is already being worked on as the next album in the Gold Series At what point has it said they were gonna be released in chronological order... if it was...

Re: Greatest Hits

Just got my signed bundle in the post. The signatures are, as pictured, on a cd-booklet sized letter stock inside the sealed copy of the CD. Still, nice to have them as I somehow didn't have anything autographed by a Queen member prior to this. And the four tapes look adorable. I don't need to play...

Re: Your latest Queen buys Part 2

Two twelve inch singles
- radio gaga
- thank god it's christmas

I only bought them for the 12" mix of 'keep passing the open windows' which has yet to have a proper digital release. I already have the gaga one but it was a bundle on ebay.

Re: Roger's next solo album

Just a heads up - you don't need to preorder to get access to the presale... just click on the wording that says "*NO PURCHASE NECESSARY." On the album formats page. and it will take you to a form to fill in your details. It's a cleverly hidden link to make you buy the album

Re: Radio Ga Ga Extended Mix

Think my favourite 12" by Queen, is Scandal, but I think I'm probably one of the few that actually likes the song. I like 'scandal' too, surprised it performed poorly as a single. I think it contains one of Brian's best 80s guitar solos. The remix is good too- pity the CD single commands pretty hig...

Re: too much love will kill you credits

The version with Freddie singing, came out on bootlegs well before MIH, and was quite likely an edited version of what was finally released on MIH. I know that was listed as a demo, even if was the final mix. You can't really trust listings on bootlegs, that's for sure. Since then, I've heard sever...
