Re: Formula 1

2022 I am hoping will be better thanks to the new rules. Max and Lewis may not dominate as they have this year. It will be exciting to see Sainz and Leclerc in the ferrari's challenging, Lando and the Honey Badger as well. Let's not forget the former champions in Vettel and Alonso. It will also be ...

Re: Formula 1

The Highway Code says you mustn't overtake the vehicle closest to the crossing, but when you get into Zebra, Pelican and Puffin Pedestrian Crossings Regulations and General Directions 1997 (essential reading :D ) it actually details it as motor vehicles, so bikes are excluded from this rule. What i...

Re: Formula 1

Re Sainz, firstly the only possible benefit he could have received was a second place in the race - it would have had no effect on his championship placing. Secondly, do you really think he could have challenged Max on that lap? Really? He's good, but his car just wasn't that good. No, I don't thin...

Re: Formula 1

Apparently it didn't go smoothly at Windsor Castle today. Lewis was all set to step up for his Knighthood when someone nipped in front of him at the last second.

Re: Formula 1

And, for the record, I'm as much a fan of Lewis as I am of Max. I've been watching F1 since the early to mid 80s and have rarely been a fan of a single driver (for the most part pretty much every driver on the grid is of an exceptionally high standard) and I'll always be the first to defend Lewis wh...

Re: Formula 1

...But it seems a lot like Masi just made something unprecedented up on the spot that contravenes the FIA's own rule book and which objectively gave some drivers an advantageous situation whilst denying it to others... Ah, but here's the rub, it didn't contravene the rules. It followed one rule whi...

Re: Formula 1

Yeah, I don't really know what else could be done. I don't think it would be fair to strip Max of his title because he himself did nothing wrong. But at the same time Mercedes, Lewis and everyone from Sainz backwards were clearly screwed by a blatantly uneven and invented application of the rules. ...
