I was just wondering, has any desision on having a seperate fanfiction sub-forum been made yet? I have a bunch of fan fictions I'd like to share with everyone, but I don't want to start a thread just for my stories.

Yes, a separate sub forum has been decided against. Posting fan fiction is okay, for as long as it stays within the forum rules in terms of content. Post anything you want, please keep it one thread where possible, so rather than a thread for your specific stories, maybe a more general story thread? I'd recommend posting a content summary, followed by a spoiler with your fanfics, so nobody stumbles on anything they don't want to read. If something is posted that isn't appropriate content, it will be deleted.

Also, please remember that while a "chat" forum, Loasa is in the Queen related section of the board.

Thanks Belle. I'll start a general Queen fan fiction thread. I'll just post my Brian and Byron fan fics, no Cozy ones (unless you say it's ok). But before I start the thread, I do have a few more questions. I know slash isn't allowed, but in my Byron fan fiction, I have Cozy and Byron as a couple, there is no description of them doing it, so would that be allowed? I just have them living together and eventually getting married. And with a few of the other stories I have, I wrote a sex scene. So I guess my big question is for any of the stories, do we spoiler the whole thing or just the parts that might offend someone?

Hmm, I'd suggest this, if your Cozy fics relate to Queen in any way, those are okay. If they're not, then probably leave those out. I'm not against massive Cozy spam just because it's off topic, it's a lot to do with lack of interest of other members. I know there are two big Cozy fans here so obviously, just a reasonably limited amount of posts on that subject, apart from anything else because you're unlikely to get massive response to it and it seems like a waste.

I'm going to go for no slash or het fics, it's just too much of a grey area and there are sites and communities specifically for those things. Please spoier the whole thing, it will help the page load faster anyway and also, we don't know which parts might offend people so if the whole thing can just be kept behind a spoiler, with a content summary outside of the spoiler, then no one can complain.

I hope you don't think I'm being unfair, several other members will attest to me having no problem what so ever with any type of fanfic, het or slash, , it's purely a matter of context and admin's ruling on this is allow it, try not to draw attention to it and remove anything inappropriate. To avoid that necessity, let's just stick to low rated, none slahs/het stuff, okay?

Ok, sounds good to me. I do have a few Cozy fan fics that do relate to Queen in some way. I'm currently working on one where it's going to be how he joined Brian's band. So, I would think that's ok, right? The others I just won't post as they have almost nothing to do with Queen except maybe a few paragraphs. It will eliminate the spam. Also, I guess I won't post my Byron fan fic then, I can post it on my live journal page. I do have another Byron fan fic that I can post that has nothing to do with him being involved in any way with Cozy.

And, I don't think you're being unfair at all. What you're suggesting is completely reasonable. I'll start the thread, but I won't post a story yet because I have to find the ones I want to post.

Hi folks, I've merged a big pile of threads together just to make things a bit simpler, as we had a lot of very similar threads with very few replies. There's the newly merged "Queen Misc" thread, for posts like links to votes for Queen and covers you've seen and so on, and "Fan Stuff", as it was pointed out we don't really have a welcome/introduction thread or anywhere to ask other fans questions that don't necessarily warrant their own thread. Hope that's okay with everyone.
