Dark-haired woman in back room, muttering: "Maybe I'D like to be in a picture with Brian May, too, but does anybody think to ask? Of course not. Yet when you're going away for the weekend and need your dog walked, then it's all 'Oh, come sit with us, Evie!' "

"Can any of them tell you the b-side of Bohemian Rhapsody without googling it? I mean can they?!!

It's sort of whinging, but you've done the American middle-class, passive aggressive version. A pro-whinger would have made themselves heard.

Incidentally, my niece is called Evie. I seem to hear that name all of the time now, probably because I'm just more aware of it.

Interesting footnote about the name. I had originally named the girl 'Kayla', but as I was typing it up, I thought,"Too American. Use something more accessible to your British friends." So I quickly Googled a list of hot British names and Evie just jumped right up at me. I looked back at the picture and knew right away she was an Evie. I probably should've looked at the boy's names, too. I've always said I would name my son Alexander Stephen, but now that idiot Trump has surrounded himself with grotesque troll men called Stephen and they've completely spoiled it for me. Also, thanks to Hamilton, Alexander is now a Top Ten name, and I always said I'd never use a mega-popular name. Oh, well, I have plenty of time. Have to get the house first, and then start thinking about the kid.

You can't call your child Stephen. That name has been wrecked since that picture came up on facebook. Keeps coming up in my 'memories'.

(Stephen with a ph) Phtephen.

Nick you are right, whoa, talk about your life in a nutshell. I hope the love of your life doesn't read it.

The Captioneers Must Go On

Postby Isolde Jane Holland » Sat Apr 01, 2017 7:15 pm

Yes, I did a similar caption five years ago, but I'm using completely different, new pictures with it this time around, AND I both embellished it and added a twist. Classic Caption 2.0, as it were.

Image

Brian: "So......What are you wearing?"

"My 'fat pants', a shirt with cat hair on it, and my teeth whitening strips."

Image

Brian: "No, no, that's not how phone sex works. You're supposed to say you're wearing fun, flirty things, like lacy black bras and silken knickers."

"Oh, I see!!"

Brian: "So, what are you wearing?"

"Silky knickers and a lacy black bra with cat hair on it."

Freddie: "I don't understand; what's wrong with that?"

Combining coffee and Queen! Genius. My brew of choice is Hazelnut - Fair Trade, of course - with sweetened condensed milk. And I only have it in the morning; even my hedonistic indulgences are regimented. Weird coffee flavours are very American; I used to get banana pecan at Price Chopper's. Not always, just for an occasional treat. Then one day without warning, they switched bulk coffee suppliers, from Caravan to 'Philz'. Noooo....!! I would've bought out every last bean if I'd known.

Really? I find that the tears of child labour is what adds the piquancy :|
