Roadie in background: 'Rog, you look like you just crawled out of bed"

Roger: "yeah. Thing is, I don't remember going to bed. Someone got some bandaids for these bloody blisters? I count 5 fingers, but I can't feel them, and I can't make a fist with my right.

********************

That photo, if you study it, gives a good glimpse into what it must be like to be road weary. Dirty disposable plates, filled trash bin under table. And Roger's face says a lot.

What about the Irish?

Ah to be sure, my dad had some weird superstitions. Don't wear green, don't have lilac in the house (flower not colour), and the one I find myself saying now, ' When not in use, turn off the juice'.
When I go to my daughter's I find lights and televisions on all over the place, so I just go round switching them all off. 'I was watching that!!!' 'You were in the shower, it all costs money'.
I think I've turned into the grumpy old lady I didn't want to be.
Must try harder.

NP. I wonder what interview is this? I don't think I have ever seen it before, not on any official product, and not even on youtube. But it looks like good quality picture quality and camera handling, very professional. Kinda weird that I haven't seen the interview .. :/ ? I bet it is from the period 1977-79.

Good work Bea!! I looked through 25 freaking youtube videos and countless google images trying to answer his question and was so aggravated at getting nowhere I wanted to come back on and tell him to go find the answer himself. LOL.....

I mean, i must have wasted an hour or more on it. Would have been more If I'd allowed myself to watch them all again just because.....

So I was reading Phil Rickman's novel Remains of an Altar - lot of stuff about Elgar in there, if any of you are fans - and I encountered an old friend of ours on page 239:

Image

I love that series; mystery/suspense with a soupçon of the supernatural thrown in. Also, I was reading a blog about the current cricket season - don't judge me! Image - and I thought you guys might enjoy this paragraph especially:

"Speaking of Queen songs: at the moment there is nothing but cricket on TV. No Test match, altho I think one is coming up, but what they call 20-20 (limited overs) and Big Bash (shorter games, at night.) Well, for some reason in these matches there's always music blasting over the PA, and the one they use most is We Will Rock You. Although it's one of my favourites, I am starting to grit my teeth when it comes on the 500th time in a day. Sometimes they play AC/DC, and "Staying Alive" got a go the other night, but WWRY seems to be the favourite and I hope Brian "Three Doctors" May gets a royalty each time."

I had no idea professional cricketeers were rabid Queen fans.

According to a very informal poll amongst friends on four continents, everybody thoroughly hated that season four finale of Sherlock. I spent seventy minutes mourning a little drowned dog who, it turned out, never drowned, because he never existed. That trailer with Dennis Quaid's blasted reincarnated dog is bad enough. My favourite current commercial is this one for Turbo Tax, starring Kathy Bates. It's both scary and hilarious. My favourite of the five child ghosts depicted is the one crawling on the ceiling: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lYpLd3gBtqk

You never know who you're going to run into........on the bus!!!

Brian: "I have that strange feeling again......someone watching me......following me....."

Anita: "And when I dozed off just now I had a nightmare about a claw-like hand creeping toward me through the dark night."

Brian: "That's it: no more peanut som tum pattay after 10 PM."

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Image
Anita: "The invitation promised we would each get a real working light sabre; this is just an old stick handle. I'm not happy."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Image

Anita : "Look at the Jumbo tron news feed! It says the Americans have actually elected.....Oh, it can't be."

Simon Callow: "But it is."

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Image
Brian: "Seriously, illustration number thirty three in the Kama Sutra, that's just a joke, right?"
Lady on far right: "Thirty-three is how I got pregnant this time."
Brian: "Indeed? Then I doff my cap to you both, Madame."
Smaller boy: "What are they talking about?"
Boy with yellow envelope: "I'll tell you when you're older."
