I love this one, especially how they did the 'opera section'!

That was really cool, KingofRhye!

And Waggoner, Grey DeLisle covered one of my sister's song on one of her albums!

How cool that you love her! I first heard about her from Avatar: The Last Airbender, where she played Azula. You could have knocked me over with a feather when I found out she done one of my sister's song. My sister is Anny Celsi, and the song is "Twas Her Hunger." It's on the Homewrecker Album.

I couldn't find a good video of her singing it, but here's Anny doing the song at one of her shows:

ETA: A little info behind the song. It's based on the novel Sister Carrie, by Theodore Dreiser. In the book, Carrie is seduced by an older man, who embezzles money from his employers and runs off with her to New York.

OK, this is a different one...this woman's (Malinda Kathleen Reese) been doing this for a little while, she takes the lyrics to popular songs, and runs them through Google Translate multiple times and then sings the song with the resulting butchered lyrics...

That was fun! So, really stupid question -- was she playing the guitar solo, so was she using a karaoke track or something? What was she even playing on?

I think she said on the youtube page, thanks to so-and-so for letting me use your toy guitar  My guess is it was some sort of karaoke track.....

just for fun, this is what the first verse of WWRY looks like when you do something like that........

Sorry, I played computer games in the 1980s. And they didn't have sound, so I don't have nostalgia to draw on for the 8-bit version. But I'm glad you like it.

The organ was a leeetle intense, but I listened to it all the way through. It's fascinating that they can do drum sounds. I can see there are two snare drums in the machine. I never really noticed that as part of the fairground calliope sound before.

I was just re-watching some Doctor Who today, and there was a scene where Donna Noble and her family -- in an alternate universe -- are forced to move in with Italian immigrants. Donna reacts in her usual pissed-up screaming manner, until they all bound while singing "Bohemian Rhapsody."

Queen. Bringing folks together, even in the face of worldwide alien attacks.

Those people also do a few other Queen songs, maybe I'll post some in another thread....(the Under Pressure version is awesome actually)
