I think of her whenever we get Strelitzias at work. :) I also remember when we had the meet-up in London 2010 and she came out of nowhere throwing her arms around me! I got so surprised to see her, I think we all were! Gladly surprised :)

I thought there was a thread topic already about the candlelight tour, but couldn't find it.

This is a fan video just posted, and rather blurry, but the singing is so nice I got tears in my eyes.

Love of my Life is one of the Queen songs I can play on a loop five times in a row without getting tired of it. And I love Kerry's voice. (I wonder how John Travolta would pronounce her name, though? :P )

Don't you think Brian's voice is as strong if not stronger than ever? Annnd in key. :inlove:

I think that his and Roger's North American tour coming up would have been much more welcome and well rounded to have brought Kerry along too. And maybe a couple others as guest stand ins for freddie besides (ok, IN addition to) A.L.

Then they could have called the tour Queen and Company.

Of course I'd like to have Martel sing a few. And Jeff Scott Soto..

Just invite everyone's second best favorite. ('cuz we all know who #1 would be, were it possible.)

I hope for the sake of those news journalists that those mic cover filters are synthetic.

Funny how I find the most interesting anecdotes about Queen in books that have nothing to do with Queen or even music. I'm reading Jancee Dunn's humorous memoir Why is my mother getting a tattoo? I spotted it on a Mother's Day-themed table display at the library; Jancee wrote for Rolling Stone in the 1990s. On page 165 she said,"A music publicist for Queen once told me that when Freddie Mercury arrived at a new hotel room, he would jump on the beds. Freddie is my inspiration." But don't go looking for it, thinking it's crammed with juicy backstage tidbits. She mentions rock stars all of three times: leaping Freddie, when she observes that Aerosmith were all sullen monosyllabic oafs except for the drummer, and that a drunken Daltrey once slurred,"Niiiish frock....." and lunged for her, and she tripped over something trying to get away. Charming.

These pics are kind of boring, but what the heck:

I just had to share this fantastic picture, from a fox rescue group over on Facebook. Somehow, I know Brian would approve:
