Lost my Greatest Hits CD

Postby Pingu » Wed Sep 21, 2016 6:43 pm

Anyone seen it?

Just the CD is missing. The box is there alright, but when I opened it today the CD was gone.

This is not like me, I'm a stickler for putting CDs back. But I think when I moved house recently I left it in the player so it got separated from the box. Where it went next I've no idea.

It's the 1980s/90s edition, not the remaster.

Could you all have a quick look around?

Or suggest places it might be. As I search I'll update as necessary.

Report: 80% Of Queen’s ‘Greatest Hits’ CDs Lodged In Center Console Of First Car

But anyway, 90% of the time I've ever lost a CD, I eventually find it in the case for another CD. Something completely unrelated, of course. Like I'd find a Metallica CD in a Bob Dylan case or something. I guess I was never as much of a stickler as you! But nowadays, though, I'll buy a CD and use it precisely once. I'll rip it onto my computer, and go from there.

When I did carry around a bunch of CD's, I always had those big old soft CD cases where you just stuck em in a sort of plastic sleeve thing, do you have any of those?

Would it save you a lot of time if I just gave up and went mad now?

No, not in the car, though as Terry Pratchett also pointed out, all CDs left in a car will eventually morph into Queen's Greatest Hits.

I did have a poke through a load of my other CDs but nothing as yet. I also took a break to watch several episodes of Red Dwarf and cook what turned out to be a rather delicious Balti.

I am starting to wonder if perhaps I have a little too much spare time.
