Hasn't he been on Mastermind with Queen as his specialist subject before?

Seen him a good few times now and he usually mentions Queen during his show or has them playing before or after. I don't listen to his podcast but I believe he talks about them a lot of there.

I've definitely seen him wear other Queen t-shirts. He also invented(?) 'Triple Queening', where he wears a Queen t-shirt, hoodie and his yellow replica Freddie jacket over the top.

Wikipedia says he supported Q+AL at the NYE 14/15 show, cool.

(Just had to look that guy up, because that name is VERY similar to those of a few relatives of mine )

I was first aware of him when Sara Pascoe (his comedienne girlfriend at the time) was on a programme with a Queen mirror that she said belonged to her Queen-obsessed partner. He was also on Live At The Apollo Christmas edition and walked out on stage to the strains of Thank God It's Christmas.

I once realized I happened to be driving a Mercury car down a street named Mercury Drive while listening to a Freddie Mercury CD (think it was The Great Pretender)....triple Mercury-ing?

I saw him most recently at the Edinburgh Fringe where he did a show about the breakup of his relationship and did a joke about how was now 'living on his own' and the Freddie song started playing. He went on to explain that to fully appreciate that you need an intimate knowledge of Freddie Mercury's solo career and cited the '1992' single which had just played. Where of course it was released in 1993. Maybe if he hadn't made that mistake he wouldn't have had to share the Best Show at the Fringe award with someone else
