In the latest FC Mag, Brian says they are working on the BBC recordings. So looks like finally we will get the complete BBC Sessions. :D

Did he go into details or has just said this one sentence "...we are working on BBC recordings..."?

Glad their bringing them out but HATE the 'we're working on' bit.

Don't tinker with them and cheat. Just stick them on a CD as they are. We don't need extra guitars, or new bass drums.

The exact words were - ''The Queen back-room boys have been working hard in another rescue and re-mastering project - the very early recordings we did at the BBC, and our working title is Queen On Air. Some very interesting stuff! My God, we had a lot of energy in those days!''

That is good news indeed. I don't have a single BBC track since I skipped the "deluxe" (insert laughter) versions that came out a few years ago and didn't buy the abridged BBC CD from way back. It's all new to me!

A few years ago, I put forward the idea that they could collate all their BBC recordings - audio and visual - into a series of fancy packages. AIUI, the fine chap who runs this place actually pushed it towards the band for consideration, but nothing came of it.

I'd still buy it with bells on.

Probably got the details somewhere but in a nutshell it was:

* Standard 2cd of all the radio sessions.
* Limited 3cd of all the radio sessions plus the Golders Green gig.
* Standard dvd/blu-ray featuring BBC tv appearances and any live footage that can't be released as a package.
* Deluxe box set of the 3cd & dvd/blu-ray.

This, exactly this. Sometimes, these old recordings are worth having just for the little flaws and imperfections that were caught at the time. I hate it when things are too smooth.

I did have to check the date of the first post after I read through this thread as I did think it was an April fool for one minute!

Well it would be great if a comprehensive release of ALL BBC related material was made available.

Surely it can't be too much work to get this package put there?
