How about a B-sides and rarities album? I know that most of these have been released on other things, but I think Queen deserve a good collection of all their b-sides and odd songs on one album. You could say what's the point, but they released 3 greatest hits albums which were all songs available elsewhere.

Hypothetical tracklist:
See What a Fool I've Been
Polar Bear
Mad the Swine
Hangman
Feelings Feelings
A Human Body
Soul Brother
I Go Crazy
Thank God it's Christmas
A Dozen Red Roses for my Darling
Stealin'
Hijack my Heart
Hang on in There
Chinese Torture
Lost Oppertunity
Best Queen song = Brighton Rock

Read my book Soulless Voodoo Guy

Think there's definitely potential for a 'mop up' 3cd or whatever album full of B sides and rarities of things that have been officially released before but aren't available now and don't really fit anywhere else. B sides are obvious and things like the Rocks mix of I Want It All. 12" mixes. That 12" mix of One Year of Love which I think only got realised with a Highlander DVD. All these kind of things.

Problem is, it's not a 'Christmas market' release and they don't seem that interested in releasing stuff that isn't a Greatest Hits type thing or a live album. I guess the only realistic way any of these will get released again is a sort of expanded album boxsets that a lot of bands put out these days celebrating the anniversary of their seminal albums. Queen have really seem that interested in those, as of yet. Maybe a better chance would have been having a bonus disc or two with each of the 2011 remasters...but I think it's time to get it go

They, Brian and Roger (who knows what John's view would be), simply are not going to release any unreleased studio material by Queen whilst they're alive. They also aren't going to release any unreleased footage in it's entirety. That's how they roll. They don't want us lowly fans to hear any of the cool stuff in their archives - they have 100% control over their archive, and they're never going to let a record label release any of the good stuff. They use it as a bargaining chip to negotiate extended/new deals and then pull it away slowly once the deal is done. And why bother anyway, they left it too late with the music and can now make way more money from licensing tracks for adverts/films, touring and all other sorts of shit that doesn't involve releasing new stuff.

We can probably look forward to the occasional pointless compilation that won't sell very well, with some bonus track of some sort.

Can anyone help, i have the Vinyl of 'Keep Passing The Open Windows' (12" version) and was a surprised it was not on any of the 40th Anniversary remaster CDs, has anyone any idea where i can locate the 12" version on CD, failing that i will have to copy it onto a blank CD in Real-Time Audio from any number of YxxTxbe postings and we know how poor most of the postings.

It was never released officially but was on Royal Rarities and other boots. It was missed off the 12" collection sadly too. I would love to see a B side / rarities release but it also must have the extended versions too. I LOVE the 12" mixed (extended versions of all artists are a passion of mine, and so is Queen) - so an official CD that includes them would make me a VERY happy man indeed.

I am in the process of collecting the original vinyls of these where I can, and picked up a really good copy of Backchat the other day which I had never seen before for 50p.

Never seen Keep Passing....... though. was it released in UK?

It was on the flip side of 'Thank God It's Christmas' 12"

Yes 'Prowl' was included on the '12" Collection" CD that came with the 1992 Box Of Tricks set.

Maybe a new 12" collection, with all the extended tracks, out in 2017?

The answer is "no" to any hypothetical product. Not while Broger are still int their mortal coil.

I don't know...I think Rainbow was a pretty great product, Hammersmith was okay, On Air had a lot to like....

Rainbow was a fucking wonderful release. Those recent couple of years that included the Queen Exhibition, the Rainbow release and the Days of our Lives documentary really gave me hope...

...alas, it seems to be going steadily downhill again lately though: Hammersmith was average, the Freddie thing offered nothing new, Queen On Air was good but flawed - but don't worry, pop-pickers, they are working on a Queen-themed Monopoly game!

This is what I think they will be releasing for the next years:

Albums:
-The Singles
-Rarities Anthology Box Set (3 volumes)
-Live Deluxe Box Set 73-86
-Live Killers Deluxe Box Set
-Live From America 74-82
-Live at Hyde Park’ 76
-Live at Earls Court’ 77
-Live at the Hammersmith’ 79
-Live at Knebworth’ 86
-Queen 50th anniversary compilation
-Queen Super Deluxe Album Editions

Videos:
-The Videos Collection
-We Will Rock You-The Musical

Books:
-Queen in 3-D
-Queen Covers

Queen + Adam Lambert
-Live Show
-Studio Album

Other Projects:
-New Musical
-Highlander Reboot and OST
-Bohemian Rhapsody and OST
-Brian May Box

Explanatory notes:
Albums:
Queen The Singles-yes, another compilation, but this time I think it will be released in a compilation composed of 3 or 4 cd’s, for the general public.
-Rarities Anthology Box Set (3 volumes)-each volume with 4 or 5 cd’s and a booklet.
-Live Deluxe Box Set 73-86-all the highlights from the Queen tours composed maybe of 4-5 cd’s and one or two Dvd’s, and a booklet.
-Live Killers Deluxe Box Set
-Live From America 74-82-let’s face it, America is a huge market, and Queen were huge band there for a while. So, I think, it makes all the sense to be released a product like this one. And Queen made hundreds of concerts over there, so there is no lack of original material. Again, 4-5 cd’s and one or two Dvd’s, and a booklet.
-Live at Hyde Park’ 76-almost certain
-Live at Earls Court’ 77-almost certain
-Live at the Hammersmith’ 79- almost certain
-Live at Knebworth’ 86-maybe for the 40th anniversary or the 50th anniversary?!?!!?
-Queen 50th anniversary compilation-2021-yes, another compilation……hey, whether we like it or not, compilation albums always sell good (Queen Forever-around 500.000 copies sold worldwide and Queen Absolute Greatest-1.000.000, or even more copies sold, I’m not sure).
-Queen Super Deluxe Album Editions-for some reason, I am not seeing them releasing this kind of product. But that it is my opinion. My main question is…..which albums, they will choose?!?!?! ANATO, AKOM, Innuendo, MIH.

Videos:
-The Videos Collection-all the Queen videos in one box set.
-We Will Rock You-The Musical

Books:
-Queen in 3-D
-Queen Covers-a book with hundreds of pictures of the covers of Queen products, and the stories behind them (especially the studio albums).-This one is my personal desire. ;)

Queen + Adam Lambert
-Live Show-almost certain, my doubt is why they haven’t release already
-Studio Album-maybe

Other Projects:
-New Musical-it as almost certain some years ago
-Highlander Reboot and OST-maybe there will be some kind of Queen involvement.
-Bohemian Rhapsody and OST
-Brian May Box-Freddie has it. Roger has it. Brian will have it.

So, I think for the next 15 years or so, we will have a continuous release of Queen products.
And, to me Queen on Air is a great product. Too much interviews! that is a fact. But it is a Queen Rarities product. And it is there history...
