Johnnie Walker remembers Freddie Mercury

Postby JLP » Tue Nov 15, 2016 6:19 pm

This Sunday's edition of Johnnie Walker's Sounds of the Sventies on BBC Radio 2 is a special remembering Freddie Mercury.

Special: Freddie Mercury Remembered
Johnnie Walker's Sounds of the 70s

In the week of the 25th anniversary of Freddie Mercury's death, Johnnie remembers the life and work of one of our most iconic performers with biographer Mark Blake.

To continue the celebration, Johnnie digs out some of the best Queen interviews and live tracks from the BBC archive, and Kaye from Tewkesbury suggests a classic seven-inch Queen single to be added to Johnnie's Jukebox.

If you would like to share your 70s memories of Freddie Mercury or Queen, email walker@bbc.co.uk.

It is broadcast at 3pm UK time on Sunday and will be on the i player after 5pm.
Come on you Tigers.

Do people still have tuners?

(I thought the Dolphins had eaten them all)
What is left of your dream?
Just the words on your stone.
A man who learnt how to teach,
But forgot how to learn.
