In a moment of madness I bought a ticket

These type of events, hearing multitracks, are rare enough and its cheaper than a trip to Montreux !

That's how I justified it anyway

Now, this is something I would really love to experience - it's right up my street: being in the studio where the band recorded this wonderful album, listening to the multi-tracks in perfect studio quality, speaking to the engineers who were actually originally involved in the making of the album...

...yep, this appeals to me big time.

But I don't know if I could justify the ticket price. Hmmm...

Same here. Hang in a hotel, train fares, food and drink and there will be little change, if any, from £500. With my daughter getting married in November, it is an expense I cannot justify. Unless I can get lucky at Royal Ascot.

This is a wonderful thing. I would love to be there but being in the States adds even more took the cost... Hopefully we get some video of the class...

Exactly. That's a fair old wodge of cash at the end of the day. If I had only myself to look after I would probably think 'fuck it' and put my hand in my pocket, but my priority list has no place for this Queen experience. Shame, because if it wasn't so expensive I would definitely enjoy the whole thing a great deal.

And I don't envy you having a daughter getting married! Makes my wallet quake in fear just thinking about the costs of a wedding these days.

Very tasty indeed.
I would consider that but would want to know a bit more before taking the plunge.
For instance how long is it ? I mean 2 hours 6 hours 8 hours?
I've been to events that on paper look fine but get filled up with time wasting on coffee breaks and late arrivals, overlong lunches etc etc. All told you have a lot less than you might expect.

Beautiful idea. Innuendo is one of the best Queen albums. I hope this project has all the success and give ideas for new products related to Queen albums.

Great news indeed. If only they streamed it on-line...
John hated Hot Space. Frederick's favourite singer was not Paul Rodgers. Roger did not compose 'Innuendo.' Witness testimonies are often inaccurate. Scotland's not in England. 'Bo Rhap' hasn't got 180 voices.

Now there's a thought. I would pay a fiver for online access to the event.

Fingers crossed.

Justified by the earlier argument of it probably being cheaper than a weekend in Montreux, and I'm sure hearing those original tapes will create a VERY interesting long term memory.

Having poked my head in those studios a few years back when I was dragging a small group of people from here round London, I don't think there'll be a phenomenal number of tickets going for this, due to how many people you can safely squeeze in the place.

Great idea! That money could go to MPT as well!
Could this happen @ the powers that be? Please think about it.

Kes-given the small audience that you suggest then the cash a collection capability for the MPT isn't material. Therefore I wonder is this a scoping exercise to see fan reaction to the event and the agenda they use with a view to larger scale versions of these events or some other purpose.

Say there's 100 tickets at £350 a pop, that's £35,000 going to the MPT. That's not a bad figure for a one off attempt. I'm not saying they definitely won't do more than one event, but I think one reason the price tag is so high, is because at the moment, they are using the exclusivity of the concept to be able to charge that.

If there IS only one bite at the cherry here, then I think those that go for it, will be quite chuffed that they did. If they wind up doing subsequent identical events, then maybe less so.

If they're going to squeeze much more than 100 in there, then I think I'd like to know how. Even if it's only 100, and they're doing it in "shifts" then I think that would halve (or even less) the ticket holder's available time, and so make the ticket price seem even higher.

Will they webcast it? I don't know, but there's a substantial portion of my brain telling me they probably won't.
