For those who can't wait to watch the new documentary on november the 17th on DVD, BBC4 will air an hour long documentary under another name but it features 1977 footage so it could be the same one and... it's also in HD!

Another reason to not buy the Box Set? Now only the RAW sessions CD is of any interest

"Coming full circle, this film is bookended by footage shot in the summer of 2017 as Brian May and Roger Taylor took Queen back to the US with Adam Lambert as lead singer. Revisiting many of the cities they had performed in 40 years previously and including many of the songs from that 1977 album, they prove that despite the tragic loss of Freddie Mercury over 25 years ago, Queen can still rock the world."

URGH.

Can we please keep Q+AL separate from Queen?

So much for it being kept separate, especially as it was stated on this board that things would be separate
Double urgh.

This wasn't mentioned at all in the official press release, can someone who watched the premiere at the Freddie birthday party confirm this is how the documentary ends.

I don't believe the mind set on here.

The BBC4 Documentary has a one hour time slot, meaning it's running time will be less than an hour. It is going to be about the band and NOTW. Part of that will obviously be about the longevity of their music and the fact that people still want to experience it live. It may have parallels with the DVD but it won't be the same.

It therefore makes sense that it covers what they are doing now, especially as the show has a NOTW element.

Not so much as a NOTW element keeping in mind how quickly IL and SYW was dropped from the set list.
AL singing on Frank's head, doesn't make up for what was missing from the last tour.
And it was stated Queen would be kept separate from Q+AL products. I wonder why that's changed.

Only by a few seconds - no adverts on the BBC, so I expect the full hour to be utilised.

The mindset is fine but some of us want to keep Queen seperate from QAL. Nothing wrong with that at all.

I’m expecting it to be the same as the dvd, but as it says, ‘bookended, with some extra footage of the current line up tagged on at the end.

People have said that the documentary shown in Freddie's party had no narrator, but this one does credit Bob Harris as narrator. Maybe the difference between the DVD and the TV version is just that.

It will have a start time as advertised, but like all BBC4 programming it will run for about 55 to 57 minutes. The BBC always use some of the programme time time to advertise future BBC programs and other BBC advertising.

If the DVD shown at the Freddie party had AL on it some one would have complained by now. I think this will be a slightly shortened, re configured version of the DVD.

Or even the original BOb Harris documentary brought up to date with current tour footage!

Apparently the DVD in the US release of the box set is listed as 55 mins, not an hour?
