Tom Chaplin Sings Queen

Postby WeeMann » Fri Feb 15, 2019 10:35 am

A couple of months ago Tom Chaplin played a concert singing Queen's hits. It's finally on Radio 2 tonight at 8:00

https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m0002hql

And it'll be available on their Sounds app afterwards.

Heard it and was completely underwhelmed. Chaplin's singing is snooze worthy and the musicians backing him were as strong and powerful as an average bar band.
Selling off some of my Queen collection which you can find at http://evilbaby.tripod.com/Queen_Collection_Sale.html please PM me if you are interested in anything.

It is Ok, I quite like Tom Chaplain, obviously not as powerful a voice or tone of Freddie, but well worth a listen. Save Me is done quite well imo.
It's all so beautiful, Like a landscape painting in the sky

He did a decent job of it. With a better backing band who knows how good it could have been?
Come on you Tigers.

He's doing a short UK tour now playing Queen songs due to the feedback he got:

Well I'm just 17 and all I wanna do is disappear
Do you know what I mean there's a lot of space between my ears
The way that I touch don't feel nothin'
