Yeah. I think I mentioned earlier in the topic that I'm nit sure if it's an 'official' Queen release. Brian and Doger2were heavily involved in the making of it though

Front and back

To my surprise, it says on the back that it was produced in association with the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation (NRK) .. not BBC. I also checked my DVD version, and it says the same.

It means this is an american/british/norwegian production. Jim Beach of Queen.

It says queenonline.com at the bottom, so very much an official product.

Yeah, it's official. Think I've got two of them knocking around.

Awesome. It has been many years since I watched the documentary, but I remember I was impressed with it back then. And the front cover design, which I found a bit messy, did not compare with the great content.

I suppose that since we're getting to the point where people don't really buy music in physical formats all that much anymore, everything is going to be an "unusual" or "obsolete" format. Maybe in another 20 years or so, I'll be telling people "I used to physically go to a store, and they'd sell me a thing with music on it!" And the kids will look at me like I'm a crazy old man. Of course, they'd probably be right, but for different reasons.

Indeed. I think even usual CDs will be rare.
In the future I guess you won't be able to listen to any music without signing up with e-mail and passord to a service brought to you by Google, Apple or Facebook. And to get rid of the adverts, you have to pay a monthly amount of money. In addition you have to accept their right to log your history of listening, in order to make statistics.

Therefore I am glad I have now got a complete set of Queen albums on CD.

I have also now deleted my Spotify premium account, after they decided to crave more money each month, starting from May 2018 and onwards.

Soon they wil make you pay for watching YouTube videos as well. But I have also secured myself with almost every official live DVD/Blu-ray .

The only other format I can think of that nobody has mentioned yet is a flexi disc.

Convention Freebie 1989

Never heard of that one. What's a Flexi disc?

Edit: looked it up. I do know what they are. I remember my father got one with a magazine or something like a hundred years ago. Just played on a normal record player, I think.

Some record stores in the UK gave The Works flexi away free with initial copies of It's A Hard Life.

I'm pushing 40... I remember flexi discs from when I was a kid (although ours came from Soviet magazines with songs in Russian, but still...). I remember when a CD was the most advanced in music technology. And yes - I remember using a pencil to rewind audio cassettes.

Hmm, I'm 41, and I only vaguely remember my parents having a record player and records around the house when I was young, and certainly no flexi-discs (though I did know what they are). I guess we were more into cassettes and even 8-tracks for a while.
