Strangely enough, my favourite Bowie period is from "Hours..."

And I don't really like Blackstar, but it's a conceptual album, so not for everyone I guess.
I'd say that The Next Day is the one I listen most to.

Blackstar is the hardest album I find from his catalogue to listen to, but it's beautifully done imo. Really I'd put it in my top 4 or five Bowie albums. That said, I still can't listen to it, I find it very difficult emotionally wise. Maybe that's just me though.
TND doesn't get enough credit, but I love that one too. I should dig it out and give it a spin again.
Sometimes it really shocks and saddens me all the great people and artists that passed away these last few years.

The tribute has been postponed until tomorrow. Technical issues and covid apparently the reasons.m

There seems to overkill over here this weekend about Bowie. The BBC have had several programmes about him. I know it is the anniversary of his death and his birthday but it all seems a bit too much.

I wish I could watch some of it. ;) .
It strikes me very hard about his birthday and when he passed. My father passed away two days after his birthday.
Stange eh.

It sounds as if it was a fantastic online concert.

  16. "Heroes"
  17. Extra EP
  18. The Man Who Sold the World
  19. The Next Day

One of those people who confuses everyone by saying your favourite Beatles album is ‘The Beatles’, I take it.

Of course that only works if The White Album is your favourite, which would be a weird choice.

Not a criticism. It’s good to have little affectations.

It was, Nicki, and I got my money’s worth after all! Just got done watching the whole 3 hours from the beginning after watching only half of it last night.

Highlights for me were Duran Duran “Five Years,” Taylor Hawkins, Trent Reznor, Ian Hunter and, of course, Adam.
