I think it's just called "old age", JLP.

I find myself actually liking The Carpenters nowadays, and things I absolutely hated when I was growing up.

I am the same. Remember my father playing Nat King Cole and thinking this is crap. Now I understand why he played it.

The ultimate guilty pleasure, windows up music for sure. It took about 30 years for me to admit I liked them and another year after that before I bought a CD. Facing ones inner demons can be tough.

They did an album called Now And Then, the first side all original songs, the second side was a medley of rock and roll covers from the early sixties. I can only describe it as brilliant.

Quite a few people are shocked when they find out that Karen did most of the drumwork on their stuff.

Is it more recent country, or oldies?
Fairly mainstream. Oldest track is a Hank Williams one. Lots of stuff from the 70s onward.

Looks pretty good. I love 70s country music, in fact it was the first music I ever liked. And I still like it today.
Is country music popular over there?

Apparently, in total global record sales, stuff classed as Country music outsells all other styles of music combined.

My mother in law fell down a wishing well, I was completely amazed. I never realised they actually worked
