Correct.

Just the words on your stone.

But forgot how to learn.

What is the common factor between the original USA copies of Killer Queen, and Australian copies of Bohemian Rhapsody?

And it's not as easy that they are on the same label.

The last bit again...

...And it's not as easy as them being on the same label.

A clue: It's a VERY noticeable difference between the corresponding EMI releases of the same singles.

No, sorry.

It basically involves the flip sides. On the EMI copies of those singles, 'Flick Of The Wrist' and 'I'm In Love With My Car', they had properly produced and edited "single versions" of the respective songs.

However, on the Elektra ones I mentioned, they are direct clones or excerpts of the album versions.

Pah, you have me stumped.
Enjoying this thread even if I get things wrong usually. Glad the thread is being used again :D

New question.

What was the first single to be dropped from the live set, and when?

I was thinking of a "tour set" as opposed to a one off, but can't argue with that!

"Seven Seas Of Rhye" was dropped from the setlist after the show on 31 March 1976 in Tokyo but returned in 1984.

So "Good Old-Fashioned Lover Boy" is technically the first 'hit single' to be dropped from the set and never to return or be teased on stage again. The last show was in London on 13 May 1978.

Further to the answers given above, Flick Of The Wrist was a double A-side with Killer Queen (the one "you won't have heard on the Tony Blackburn show"), which was last played (presumably) at Hyde Park on 18 September 1976.
