No new Queen album with Adam then.

As it should be. The live shows work great and give younger fans the opportunity to see another incarnation of the band; but a studio record is something else entirely. Queen on record should be pure Queen. Even The Cosmos Rocks was a step too far (that should have been a Brian, Roger and Paul project away from the Queen name). Brian has finally seen sense.

Thanks for letting me know it was OK for me to feel that way! You cheeky c*nt

But seriously, no I do not think the man is Rock star material at all. He is more cabaret and show tunes. He is way too choreographed and scripted to possess the natural charisma and raw otherness of a Rock star. And that is the main reason I have never bought tickets for a QAL show over the years; I respect the fact that they have done all they can to keep the band in the public eye and Adam fronts this incarnation of them fine; but I am a Freddie man through and through - drama and costumes, sure...but always, always underpinned by raw, original talent, spontaneity, captivating performances and real Rock in all its forms. Adam I can watch online and appreciate; Freddie had me spellbound.

We feel the same then. I even like a few of Adam’s songs but I knew before he ever came out with his depression letter that his music was manufactured for him by the major labels he was on. A TV show contestant will be a puppet on a major label.

Maybe someone here from the UK is interested: Adam is doing a listening party with Q&A on the 22nd of February.

Adam’s new music video of Getting Older.
(With his „old look“, he would fit in with Brian and Roger. 😁)

Great song but another low budget video. It doesn’t look like his label is putting too much into this album.

Adam released his new album today!
🎉

After listening 2 times to it with my headphones on, I‘ve to say that I really like his takes of Chandelier, West Coast and My Attic. And of course Holding Out For A Hero. The rest is good, too. I‘m surprised about his change on Sex On Fire, because this record is very different from how Adam himself did sing it live in the past.

All in all, a solid, really enjoyable album!

Tomorrow Adam will perform live on Die Giovanni Zarella Show in Germany. It’s currently the most watched music show in the country. Even if they’re leaning towards German Schlager Music, I‘m really looking forward to see Adam on national TV tomorrow! :D

Love Getting Older and enjoy Ordinary World but the rest is a dud. Some songs aren’t bad but I like the originals much better. Do You Really Want and I’m A Man were my two biggest disappointments. I was hoping to like those.

I’d give it 5/10.

Oh, forgot to mention Getting Older as another one of my favorites. So I really like 5 out of 11 songs. I don’t have that often.

Getting Older is pop perfection.
