I found something else I forgot about. When Adam was on Idol some girl that went to high school with him started a blog about how rude he was. Of course she got attacked for saying negative stuff about him but this comment from another girl that went to school with him makes perfect sense to me. Still sounds true to this very day and she said this when he was on Idol.

He was a good singer, but he mistook that ability as an indication of a higher worth than his fellow students, and he did not hesitate to vocalize that opinion. Adam is a performer, not an artist. I admit that I'm a little glad that he's brought some attention to our neighborhood (now that he's ready to admit that he's not from L.A.), but the truth is that not everyone has pleasant memories of him. Your intentions to shut Steph up may be only to spare some people's feelings, but she's only telling the truth. If that truth is harmful or offensive to you, tough. That's life, and it's a lesson you'll have to learn sooner or later. “


This is probably why he made fun of Susan’s album. He’s so much better than her and she’s just a talent show singer singing covers. Karma is a bitch!

The trouble with statements like this is proving the veracity of them; we all know attention-seekers like to come out of the woodwork when someone they knew becomes famous. Every major star out there has had to deal with this kind of thing; Freddie had it all the time. And everyone's image of their idol is the result of some kind of marketing campaign - None of us knew Bowie, Lennon, Elvis, Freddie; we knew what they wanted us to know - so this poster is literally pointing out the bleedin' obvious!

It’s also more about their opinion of him and not facts. It could be 100% true to them but not to Adam’s HS friends. That goes for every single one of us. We can’t please everyone.

I also agree that he’s a karaoke singer pretending to be a rock star. If you feel he’s as authentic as Bowie and Freddie I’m 100% OK with that.

You really should stop putting words into people's mouths, Milky old boy. I agree with most of your post, but stop stating ridiculous things like me thinking he may be as authentic as Bowie and Fred - you're being rather naughty there and you know you are. I like Adam and I think he has a great voice but there is no way I think he is a genuine Rock star in any shape or form - so let's stop such nonsense, shall we?

Just think Milkman, if you or I said that a out Lambert's music, we'd be getting an earful from his fans even here to say the least. Of course its OK for Lambert to say that about another artist singing a cover album lol. Of course.

Thanks for posting that video a couple pages back. I hadn't heard "Getting Older." It's interesting. I don't hear the Beatles or Bowie so much as I hear Queen. Those harmonies sound very Queen-like.

Only if his label wants it sell and I assume they do. Maybe it’s more about streams now. It still needs some type of exposure to catch new fans.

But seriously, no I do not think the man is Rock star material at all. He is more cabaret and show tunes. He is way too choreographed and scripted to possess the natural charisma and raw otherness of a Rock star. And that is the main reason I have never bought tickets for a QAL show over the years; I respect the fact that they have done all they can to keep the band in the public eye and Adam fronts this incarnation of them fine; but I am a Freddie man through and through - drama and costumes, sure...but always, always underpinned by raw, original talent, spontaneity, captivating performances and real Rock in all its forms. Adam I can watch online and appreciate; Freddie had me spellbound.
