The Bowie part was shared by the organizers themselves a couple of hours later. Had they wanted it to be gone, it would have been deleted by YT. They probably considered it nice PR for the rest of the show. That video was shared by many magazines.

I wish he would break away from music reality shows.

Adam has been doing a little bit of everything. He seems to thrive on variety and doesn’t like to be stuck in one spot. Many entertainers do the same thing to keep themselves relevant in a very competitive world.

No, he hasn't been doing a little bit of everything. It really comes across that he is stuck singing mostly covers, and if he is going to judge a reality singing show, nothing new there. He has to break away from that, not to keep doing it, in my opinion.
I've said many times it would be a tough road for him without or after Q+AL. He's in a box of his own choices in many ways.
