Serious discussion about the band known as QUEEN.

A sad day, indeed.

Sporting one of my NOTW T-shirts and rocking out to Sheer Heart Attack (the song). Trying to lighten the mood and instead celebrate his life.

It's amazing how much of an influence Freddie has had on me. Almost as much as my father! It's crazy. But I love and respect him so much. His music and words (even the disposable pop ones) have meant so much to me over the years.

Glad I'm here on the day.
He was a remarkable human being with remarkable talent. Never forgotten.

I was 10 when Queen first arrived on the scene in early seventies. Never followed them closely but still remember them. I can vaguely remember the headlines coming out in the late eighties. I remembered and followed enough to read all of the biographies when they came out and mourn his passing and have grown to respect and love the man and the legend.

Freddie Mercury. The world although emptier without him,is brighter because of him-
Still missed, still loved.

Gone for a bit of Live Killers (Side 2!) by chance today.

Freddie's death was a tragedy but his life and work was incredible. We still have the music, and I think that's the way he'd like us to remember him.

Certainly he wouldn't want anyone to mope. Put some Queen on and celebrate!

Today of course is emotional. I'm crying, I'm laughing, I'm actually smiling watching Freddie and Queen.
Freddie was Freddie. Boy, how I admire, respect and thank the guy for what he gave us.
