Serious discussion about the band known as QUEEN.

Freddie Mercury 24th November 1991.

Of course I don't have to remind anyone that it is nearly 21 years since Freddie passed away.
Please feel free to post your thoughts/favorite memories/moments whatever it that you might like to share about Freddie. I will post mine in the next day or so.
Thanks.

I remember coming home from the airport. I think it was actually the 25th. And there was something about it on the radio. I was just a kid. Queen were my favourite band even back then but it didn't bother me at the time. I almost feel guilty saying that or a little annoyed with myself but I was just a kid I guess. I owned like 2 albums at that point.

Wish I had a better story than being a stupid kid that had no idea what he had just lost.

You are always loved, admired, respected for many reasons, Freddie. Your talent, your voice, your courage and sheer determination is what stays with me.
Thank you for the many life lessons...and your life.
I miss you, and I love you.

As always on this day, I will listen to both innuendo and Made In Heaven. It is sort of a tradition now.
Come on you Tigers.

I usually have a look at some tv text pages to see how many of them are remembering Freddies death. I think i will watch some videos or documentaries later this evening.

I will always vividly remembering hearing the news of his death on the radio on the Monday morning.

Listening to ADATR (among their finest work) today.

R.I.P. Farrokh Bulsara.

I, too, will never forget hearing the news of his death on the radio and being just stunned. I hope his mum finds comfort today in the thousands of tributes being left all over the social media outlets for her son.

What a unique and special guy he was: twenty-one years later, and still no one even comes close to having that complete package of sublime vocals, sense of musicality, charisma, personality, sense of humor and stage presence…and the courageous way he handled his illness without complaint is inspiring. A complete original, and the world's a lot less fun without him.

Like Beethoven or Lennon, Freddie Mercury can never be replaced. Incredible talent and a character to match.

Such people have always been rare - and they seem to be getting rarer.

Just listening to the live version of Somebody To Love from Milton Keynes. What a performance of that song he gave that night. The intro is sheer brilliance and his ad-libs and energy throughout are incredible.

To quote YAFF - "no Queen without Freddie".
