Thanks Hernán and Walter for the new Brazilian figures. Rock Montreal keeps doing well.

But with all the releases the last years, you would think they are closer to 300, and maybe even more.. Maybe they should update the numbers now ?
Usually, the figure 300,000,000 refers to records
(albums + singles + videos). But in their official Facebook page, the figure 250,000,000 albums
is reported. It appears a slightly high number, unless it was calculated with the CSPC method, that is to say the system adopted by Billboard and by the ChartMasters.org website.
In the first months of 2017, the trend is more or less the same. Greatest Hits is always selling well in UK, Australia and Canada. In the USA, Platinum Collection is in a good form, also Greatest Hits sometimes gets into charts.
Also in Italy Platinum Collection is as always in good form. This month of July, also the Italian albums chart should include also the streaming system of calculation, so Queen should take advantage of this.
This June, as we know, the North American tour of Queen + Adam Lambert starts. And it should reach Europe in the months of October and November and UK in December. In that period Queen's sales could take a good advantage, above all when the film about Freddie Mercury will be officially announced. I don't know if new releases are in progress, I don't think if it's particularly necessary at this moment. Even if, looking at the other acts, there's a bit of envy (see The Beatles' new box set of Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band
)... Probably we will have new issues after the film release, hoping that they will be really strong items, as Queen, in that period, will have a great popularity and thus will have to take advantage of it.
