The animated slow motion recreations on YouTube are both fascinating and impressive.

It's good that there's a significant learning opportunity that hasn't been triggered by a loss of life.

So, a sandstorm for the duration of the second testing session. That made for some tricky conditions, especially for Mercedes.

It's no exaggeration to say he was a big part of me getting into Formula 1. His voice was one of the two main reasons I started watching (the other was Damon Hill, incidentally).

It was a joy hearing him behind the mic again when F1 started replaying classic races during first lockdown. Without wishing any disrespect to the commentators who've come since, he really was irreplaceable. Even if he did tend to get so many things wrong all the time :lol:

Really sad, but 97 is a good innings and I doubt he'll be forgotten for a very long time.

I had no idea she was ill, although I noticed she didn't look too good that last time I caught her on TV.
