Agree! I need to watch this stuff sometimes because I start to forget what being a fan is all about.

I would LOVE to have seen Queen LIVE when they were at their peak. There is nothing like a LIVE show no matter who it is (I've seen Garth Brooks, Loretta Lynn, Neil Diamond, Simple Minds, Culture Club, Anne Murray, Duran Duran (3 times), Erasure, Neon Trees, Foreigner, U2 (3 times), The Captain and Tennille, Liberace, Donny and Marie, Sting, Yanni, Leonard Cohen and Adam Lambert (3 times) as well as many Broadway musicals), but Queen (with Freddie) must have been absolutely SPECTACULAR! My other biggest regret is never seeing Elvis in person!

Save Me is probably my all time favorite Queen song.

Everything about this performance is just perfect. I love the fact that Brian starts the track on the piano, and Freddie finishes on it. I love the fact that Brian's guitar is on his lap when he's playing the piano. Freddie's singing is just unbelievable, as is Brian's guitar playing, what a track, what a group, the best of all-time by a mile!

And the start of the track when Freddie leans in to the piano with Brian, so they can start at exactly the same time, the expression on Brian and Freddie's faces :)

WHAT A VOICE, WHAT A SONG!

Exactly!

It's sometimes great to get a reminder of how truly amazing Queen were, and I havn't found a better example than this :-D
Hot Space is actually only my 6th favourite Queen album.
(But is a very underrated album in my opinion).

Yeah, I don't watch old Queen live shows enough frankly, but STILL there hasn't been a 70's DVD released. They need to pull their finger out now and start releasing them

I am just discovering their early work and a lot of the unknown album tracks because I was mainly a greatest hits and a kind of magic fan prior to their current tour. But I've been streaming all their albums on spotify and wow....it's mind blowing how great they were.

Here is my list as it stands right now...it will likely change the more I listen.

Queen: toss up between Jesus and keep yourself alive
Queen II: the loser in the end
Sheer heart attack: tenement funster/killer Queen
Day at the races: somebody to love/tie your mother down
News of the world: fight from the inside
Jazz: fun it
The game: don't try suicide
Hot space: action this day/stay power
The works: I want to break free
A kind of magic: who wants to live forever/pain is so close to pleasure
Miracle: was it worth it
Innuendo: I can't with you
Made in heaven: let me live

Edited because ipad autocorrect is a whore

Interesting that you like Roger's songs so much. I think his early songs are excellent, but when I first heard those early albums, many of his songs were my least favourite, and they grew on me over time, and are now some of my favourites.

Tenement Funster, Fight From The Inside and Fun it in particular are all superb in my opinion :)

Oh and I also really like Drowse!

jimbo, I didn't even realize those songs were Roger at first. I knew the voice was different but I loved them on first listen for sure. I like all the songs honestly. Their entire catalog is so fucking impressive. It is truly mind blowing when you think about how all these songs, that sound so different from each other, all came from the same four guys. Crazy I tell ya, fucking crazy!
