It's obviously unfair to compare sports, but...

Our most successful female Olympian used to be a rower. Someone who drained every bit of energy from their bodies at the finishing line of the race, physical suffering, limits of human capability stuff.

Now it's a woman who sits on horses while they dance.

Women weightlifters on horseback?

The only thing wrong with dressage as an Olympic sport, is that the horse, who is at least an equal participant in the event, doesn't get a f*cking sugar cube, let alone a medal.

It's even worse in horse racing. They fall over, they get shot.

Shoot the jockeys too, see how much more carefully they ride them then....

Don't get me started on the Grand National.

As the horse approaches a fence, he sees a five foot high hedge fence, no problem, he can do them in his sleep. What he doesn't see, the hedge fence is constructed with 4 to 5 inch thick pine trunks, and unless the horse jumps very high, it could easily break it's front shins and feet as it goes through the hedge.

It may only be a five foot fence going into it, but the drop the other side is more like 12 foot. Imagine trying to land on that at 30 mph, with two broken front legs?
