Queen on vinyl

Serious discussion about the band known as QUEEN.

I have the Live Magic and NOTW marble vinyls too; nice to look at, and when compared to some bootlegs they are well done with regard to having label info, EMI logos etc... but my understanding even when I bough them was that they are unofficial. Don't think I've ever played them though but bought them 20 or so years ago whilst in my 'must buy everything Queen related' phase!!

I would love to have a new release of the three Greatest Hits in vinyls, both singularly and in a Platinum Collection box-set. They could be released both black and coloured. At the moment vinyls' sales are increasing very much, from the physical point of view they are reaching the CDs figures. So I expect also the three Greatest Hits to be released soon.

There's a whole series of Innuendo coloured vinyls, purporting to be official, on sites like eBay.

I think they all contain the CD album versions, not the normal vinyl edited versions.

I've got a red one and a gold/brown one. I even picked up an unofficial picture disc of the album last weekend. Says Parlophone on the disc, and Hollywood on the sleeve.

But that is just crazy ! One thing is to make unofficial records, but to pretend
that they are official is just rude. This must be illegal vinyl production as far as I am concerned.

I just bought the latest Greatest Hits ll (2LP) set.
And what a beauty it is! The Queen crest and title is embossed in gold foil on blue background.
So are the tracking list on the back cover. This vinyl has a gatefold sleeve with lots of photos.
The 2 vinyl inner sleeves are made of thick paper and has large photos of each track's single cover together
with a description of each song.

I might take a closeup photo of it and share it here
