Not to mention 'I'm in Love with My Car' (it was a B-side), ''39', 'You and I', 'Bijou', 'Life Is Real', 'We Will Rock You' (B-side in EMI territories)...

Been thinking about this. I'm going to say One Year Of Love.
~Godspeed little one~
~Don't talk about angels
Or how I'll be saved
I'm no coward
But I'm not that brave
Rags are blowing
Rain's getting near
I'm done with running
And it's getting dark in here~

~Sleep in peace old friend for me you'll never die~

It'd be interesting to see which songs are coming up most regularly..

I'm going to limit it by saying 'Queen's 10 weakest songs'.. because weakest is relative. It needs a limit.

Jesus
She Makes me
Coming Soon
Dancer
Back Chat
Body Language
Party
Khashoggi's Ship
Delilah
The Hitman

For me, the majority of their weaker material comes during the 80s.

F%*k me, if that's their weakest songs, I'd be horrified to see what you think their stronger material is... :P

It's Brookie... he's metaphorically pulling your plonker.

It's also the track listings of GH, and GHII combined, and I guess what the band would consider their strongest songs that fitted into the 7" format.

I'm always amazed at what some people call Queen's weakest tracks. Maybe my musical taste is weird but some of my favourite Queen tracks are what some call their weakest:

She Makes Me
Machines
Khashoggi's Ship
Put Out The Fire
White Man

All great tracks.

I totally agree with that. Well, except for I never have liked She Makes Me. But... anyone who thinks White Man is one of the weakest Queen songs? That just ain't right.

But...I think that really says something for the wide range of Queen's music. You could like something about Queen that I hate and vice versa, and ya know what? That's all right.

White Man is one of the cleverest transitions of his feelings about something, into lyrics, that Brian has EVER written. Anyone who misses that, obviously isn't on the same page, and thinks it's some bloody ficticious story song about some bollocks the writer has no idea about. It's certainly more poignant than a song about a sister he never had, or a fucking cat.

IIRC, I read somewhere that he wrote it after visiting an American Indian reservation during a mid-break on an American tour.

It's also quite possibly the best (and most coherent) example of Brian building a mid-section of a song, with bass and drums accompanying his delay work on the guitar.

Altough comparable to The Prophet's Song, it just takes the idea about three steps further on.

I agree, except White Man and She Makes Me.

Personally, I think White Man belongs on a list of their strongest tracks, both lyrically and in terms of sheer instrumental and vocal power.

She Makes Me. I like the unique feel of it, sounding pretty depressive and apocalyptic, like walking in the desert.

I don't think 'White Man' is a bad song at all, but I do think Brian wrote many which were way better. Same for 'She Makes Me'. I think, at some point, Frederick referred to the latter as Brian's main track on its parent album.
John hated Hot Space. Frederick's favourite singer was not Paul Rodgers. Roger did not compose 'Innuendo.' Witness testimonies are often inaccurate. Scotland's not in England. 'Bo Rhap' hasn't got 180 voices.
