Wow, Nick. That is awesome. Thank you for sharing that with me. I do like how you colored it in too!
I have a caricature of my daughter a 12 year old artist did about 14 years ago. It was quite good, actually. That little lady has since grown up, moved to New York and is working as an artist. I'm glad I had her sign the picture. I told her some day she would be famous. I hope she is doing well. We no longer are in touch with her.
I did my first charcoal sketch of Freddie the day before yesterday. Been many years since I used charcoal in any serious manner and years since I've done any portraits. I guess it is a fair impression. Needs work (the eyes mostly) and is unfinished, but at least I'm working again and enjoying it quite a bit! Going to give it another try later today or tomorrow. I've done quite a few pencil sketches of Freddie that turned out absolutely hideous ~ didn't bother to try and finish or fix them. They were mostly for practice anyway. I'll just keep sketching until I get it right, then I'll go ahead and do a nice piece on good paper or perhaps paint it. I haven't painted in years either. I'm working on landscapes and ocean scenes as well. If I get anywhere with any of this, I'll send you a couple pics.
Thank you, Nick! Have a wonderful day!!
