20th April 1992

Talk about Queen's live performances.

Though I only watched it on TV, it was a day that changed my world. One I did not realise that was so small and big at the same time. (Oh and bump :lookround: .)

Hell imagine if QOL had existed back then and we had all ended up attending the gig together. That would have been an emotional experience.

It was pretty emotional as it was.

Just the words on your stone.

But forgot how to learn.

It was indeed. I am very pleased that I managed to secure tickets for the gig. It was definitely one of the "had to be there" events in my life.

What are you going to do, if they ever did a second one?

If it's ever going to happen (and I'm definitely not saying it is!), we're approaching the right sort of timing for it. Five years, or more time, and I doubt either Brian or Roger would be up for it. How big IS this 40th Anniversary thing going to be for them (for the possible start point), and I guess the cut off point for such an event would be twenty years after the last tribute gig. What's that then? Between now until April 2012?

Who could they possibly get to attend it?

From those who weren't around last time.... Muse? Lady Ga-Ga? Katy Perry? Mika? The Foo Fighters? *******? (*enter your favourite Queen inspired artist here)

...to those who were... Axl Rose? Elton John? George Michael? Robert Plant? Roger Daltrey?
What is left of your dream?

I was not even born then!
Anyway, I've watched a couple of times on youtube...
But I wish I could be there!

Personally i think they should leave it alone. The Freddie Tribute concert was a truly special moment that was perfect for the time & was IMO a 'one' off.Doing anything similar wouldn't 'feel' the same or really work as good. You only have to compere 'Live aid' in 1985 & then the 'Live aid' concert in Hyde park a few years back. The first was a wonderful one off show, the other was (to be honest) a bit of a shambles.

The first Live Aid gig was about raising money, the second one was about getting people to sign a petition writing off national debts.

Given the level of profile Queen intend to put themselves next year, I certainly would be more likely to get behind a structured FM Tribute gig 2, than a whole series of X Factor style appearances, and TV specials with Queen + "The latest flash in the pan" teeny acts.

If there would be a second Freddie Tribute concert...I feel that would be great. We (fans) all know AIDS is still out there...but its quite shocking the people who don't or thinks its cured.

Considering the kind of people Maylor partner with (other than Paul Rodgers), I prefer they didn't devalue yet another milestone of their career. A 2011 or 2012 FM tribute concert would be filled with the likes of Mika, Katy Perry, Britney Spears and Justin Bieber. Not like the '92 one with Daltrey, Lep and GnR.
John hated Hot Space. Frederick's favourite singer was not Paul Rodgers. Roger did not compose 'Innuendo.' Witness testimonies are often inaccurate. Scotland's not in England. 'Bo Rhap' hasn't got 180 voices.
