Ultimate set list

OK - this has been done many times before, but not yet on the new forum. So, what would make your ultimate set list? Pick up to 24 songs (excluding solos and God Save The Queen) and feel free to pick ANYTHING - even Made In Heaven tracks. For me, it would look something like this....

1. One Vision
2. Tie Your Mother Down
3. Play The Game
4. Somebody To Love
5. Death On Two Legs
6. Killer Queen
7. Another One Bites The Dust
8. Save Me
9. White Queen
10. Headlong
11. Now I'm Here
12. Dragon Attack
13. Back Chat
14. Innuendo
15. Love Of My Life
16. Spread Your Wings
17. I Want It All
18. Hammer To Fall
19. Crazy Little Thing Called Love
20. Bohemian Rhapsody

ENCORES
21. The Show Must Go On
22. Radio GaGa
23. We Will Rock You
24. We Are The Champions

Was just listening to The Miracle after a long time of not hearing it and have to say, Was It All Worth It is a corker of a song and should make the set list - maybe even as the opener?

It's not really an opener.

It's too reflective to be an opening track in a gig - it asks too many questions, lyrically.

You need something quite straightforward as the opener at a gig - something relatively uncomplicated.

One Vision is the perfect example of that - as is Tie Your Mother Down.

Yeah Queen almost always used something fast and heavy as the opener. WIAWI just didn't have the required impact. The 1-2 of One Vision/Tie Your Mother Down on the Magic tour was a fantastic choice (pity the setlist went downhill for much of the rest of the show).

Funny how those are two of my least favorite songs. I never cared for the closers either (WWRY, WATC). I guess I'm a middle of the set list kind of girl :)

Possibly the two best live tracks they ever did with Freddie, were Somebody To Love, and Crazy Little Thing.

Strange that when they released Live Killers, they left off a couple of notable songs, one of which was the one song that REALLY got the crowd going, the other, a song that was considered an essential inclusion for the Q+PR gigs.

As regards your setlist, take the tracklisting from Absolute, jiggle it about a bit to open with One Vision, close with WWRY/WATC, and add maybe I Was Born To Love You, Let Me Live, Brighton Rock, and '39, somewhere in the middle.

Fat Bottomed Girls and Somebody To Love. I think both tracks were played at every show on the Live Killers tour, and were kind of stalwarts by then. Somebody To Love being a pretty important showcase, and integral part of a Queen gig. Really strange it was left off the album, well I think it is, anyway.

Agreed Princess of Taylor; Tie Your Mother Down is not that great and so overplayed! Cool song and all (It is Queen after all), great live too, but there are so many better songs.

Thanks! :) I'm surprised neither were included either, especially Somebody to Love. That's just a quintessential part of a Queen concert in my mind.

I was recently directed to the Hollywood Records remix of TYMD. It is slightly more tolerable than the original (which I think would be fair to say that I hate.) :?
