Re-organization of Forum -- The Voting Booth

The last announcement was, that the European QAL tour is postponed to next year. I guess, that would be part of the „Modern Times Rock‘N‘Roll“? But then this QAL discussion would happen here as well and not in the „Friends will be friends“ section...

Personally I think QAL belongs in whatever the current projects forum will be, assuming the powers that be sanction changes.

It had it's own sub section on the old board in the current section which worked.

Now, I‘m lost.

Does that mean, you wouldn’t put anything concerning QAL in there and just ignore it?

My thinking was very much that Modern Times Rock N Roll is all official announcements from Queen Productions/Virgin Records. New products, new tours, anything THEY want to sell us - including Q+AL, reissues, etc etc.

Any serious discussion of Queen's activities - including Q+AL, Q+PR, or any other Queen related project would be split into one of two places: "In the Lap of the Gods" for 1970-1997, and "Friends Will Be Friends" for 1997-present day.

So, if Queen Productions/Virgin Records announce The Miracle box-set? MTRNR.
If a fan just wants to open a thread about the album A Kind of Magic? ITLOTG.
If Queen Productions want to announce new Queen + Adam Lambert tour dates? MTRNR.
If a fan just wants to talk about the Q+AL project, or the old Q+PR tours? FWBF.

Yeah, Picard lost me on that one too.

I can't speak for admin but I wouldn't expect QAL to not be included in the MTRNR section. I think it would belong there, especially if we're talking about the postponement of a tour that people have spent their hard earned money on. And yes, perhaps the same topic would be brought up somewhere in the Friends Will Be Friends section. And that's fine, because admin would have the authority to shift the conversation into the MTRNR section. Or not. I really don't think it's that big of a deal.

And I actually wouldn’t put it behind @Picard to not include QAL projects in his posts. He’s not a fan of it at all and keeps ignoring most of it. That’s ok, but in the sense of this re-organization it should be clear, what his standpoint is.

Otherwise the MTRNR section makes no sense to me. It should be all new announcements, releases ect. concerning Queen or nothing. Otherwise this section should just be left out.

Can I please clarify something. Any reorganisation of the forum will not involve me. I was not involved in hiow this board was set up either.

So here is my stance on things. If there is a reorganision and there is a section for announcements, QAL should be in that. Simples.
