Red Light Fever by Talor Hawkins & The Coattail Riders

Talk about their solo projects.

Something to do with the age difference I think ;)

One of the most physically demanding songs to play on drums is Dragon Attack. It really kills your right hand to do the rhythm on the high hat! Often RT used to play a more simple version of this live!
It's better to burn out - than to fade away!

Hey! I've actually noticed the Rim Shot thing! I still can't for the life of me hear the open high hat though and I've really really tried!

And I wouldn't say that I've got anybody pegged - just that if any combination of the LOASA folks were to get together, I imagine it would be epic (myself included!). We do manage to amuse ourselves!

I remember watching Roger's Let There Be Drums solo on the first Q+PR tour and thinking please don't have a heart attack...

Still, he's not bad for 60 is he?! :P

Is he not 60? Well come on, he did get in rather better shape by the end of that tour and I saw it at the beginning. It was alarming. :P

Well, if you are interested in facts then yes, he's 60 (almost 61, actually!)

He did look rather dreadful at the beginning of that tour. This is exactly why he needs to just tour nonstop effective immediately!

Hahaha. The dribble goatee was particularly nice I thought. :P I actually think he looks great, it seems to be a kind of natural karma that good looking guys age horribly, so he really hasn't done too badly. :P Plus he still plays and writes fantastically so who could fault him. :)

Spoiler! :

Actually as I look at that picture (and I seriously never say this):

Spoiler! :
I wonder if he's had work done. His eyes seem so much less wrinkled now.

Aaw, he's kinda cute there. Wrinkles aside, when he smiles he hasn't changed that much! I don't know, I kinda doubt it, probably just healthier looking now! His hair is still a tiny bit blond there!

(Plumbing the depths of indepth intellectual discussion at this point obviously...)

Well until someone comes around with some news or something otherwise interesting to bring to the discussion, we have to amuse ourselves somehow, haven't we?

This is from January:

His eyes just seem so much bigger/more pronounced there.

Is it obvious I'm rather bored tonight?

I haven't got a clue. :P

I showed my mom a picture of 70s Roger, then the picture of us meeting him at WWRY, and she just sort of burst out laughing. Hey, it comes to us all. :P

Yeah like I said, that thought never crosses my mind so I have no idea how to determine.

I should ask my husband since he accuses every celebrity over the age of 40 of having work done. If Roger passes the Jamie-test, he'll be in the clear.

And a big LOL re: your mom. I kind of agree with her though - he really only vaguely still resembles himself from the 70s.

Like I said, karma, he was gorgeous in his youth, without a portrait in the attic willing to shoulder the burden for him he is doomed to age horribly. :P The more...individual looking young people have more of a change of looking more distinguished and attractive in older years. It's a fact. ;)

Again though you couldn't complain at his music. I think his contributuions to TCR far outstripped Brian and Paul, including some of his best songs.

Ah I see what you're up to now.

1) Remark that Roger hasn't aged very gracefully.

2) Encourage me to agree with you.

3) Casually sneak in that Brian, on the other hand, is still positively adorable (but that Roger shouldn't feel bad about being ugly because he writes good songs now)

Very clever, Siobhan. Very clever. :)
