Top 5 Roger Taylor solo songs

Postby Another_Roger » Thu Sep 22, 2016 8:59 pm

1. Strange Frontier (This is one of my favourite songs by any artist)
2. It's an Illusion ( Very Springsteen like. I love the vocals and the melody)
3. A Nation of Haircuts (Great song. Easy and effective riff. I love the " And we salute you..." bit)
4. Pressure On (There is something about this song. The samples and all. It has a certain signature)
5. Foreign Sand ( A fantastic song even though its not written by Roger. Strong vocals)

That was my top 5. I would love to hear yours!

This is a tough one...This has changed several times over the years and will change again :P

Let's Get Crazy
It's An Illusion
The Key
Where Are You Now
Smile

And as I finish I realize I grabbed one track from each of his albums...Not by design!

I'm restricting myself to just the studio versions because there's a few songs that I only quite like on the record but absolutely loved live...Nazis is one and London Town on the last tour they absolutely smashed the shit out of that song, Roger on drums and Treana screaming 'Come on doooowwwwwwn'. Fantastic stuff.

Future Management
Strange Frontier
Foreign Sand
Fun in Space
Happiness

3. Fun In Space (Fun In Space)

5. London Town C’mon Down (Electric Fire)

Close to the top list:

One off each album, just to keep it square...

Future Management (Fun In Space)
Foreign Sand (Happiness?)
Pressure On (Electric Fire)
Killing Time (Strange Frontier)
Small (Fun On Earth)

And for The Cross albums.... (Not really "Solo", I know...)

New Dark Ages (Blue Rock)
Final Destination (MBADTK)
Heaven For Everyone (Shove It)
What is left of your dream?
Just the words on your stone.
A man who learnt how to teach,
But forgot how to learn.
