Brian May/Kerry Ellis album "Golden Days"

Talk about their solo projects.

I personally found 'Anthems' slightly boring and predictable. I really like Kerry Ellis vocals and think she can be a very strong singer given the right song. Anthems was all a bit too musical theater for my taste...just my opinion.
I will purchase the new album and hope it is an improvement, Brian is obviously keen for everyone to be as excited as he clearly is with regards to this release and not that in anyway he needs to at this stage of his career given the vast success he has had but do just wonder how far he has stretched himself on this project ? Justifiably he wants Kerry Ellis to get the success and recognition her talents rightly deserve but sadly it seems no one outside of either the Queen fraternity or theater musical tastes will be the slightest bit interested in this release. An example of another talented female singer that a member of Queen has worked with is Treanna Morris ( remember her ? ) great voice and a great album 'Naked' i seem to think it was called.

Whilst i doubt that it will ever happen now due to his various other commitments but i would dearly like him to take 6 months to write and record a solo record with 'brand new songs' and just 'rock out' an album that he can write and record to please himself as i am sure this would be a stronger more powerful album than something such as this and maybe have a greater appeal to more people.

'Golden Days' no doubt will be another acceptable release to add to Brian's list of releases and collaborations but hardly one to blow the doors off or one that we will be talking about in future years. May just dust off Anthems and give it another listen , although i seem to recall i did try a number of times but just could not get excited... :-(

I am confident it will surely rank alongside A Night At The Opera no problem...

She's musical theatre through and through. Nice voice, but there's nothing else there. He seems to like that sort of voice these days...I mean they are touring with one who is exactly the same.

I'm excited for the album. Anytime Brian May releases something new I'll be listening with an open ear.

Anyway, I thought Anthems was a solid album. I wasn't enthusiastic about the musical covers though. It just wasn't my thing. Now, their acoustic live album was fantastic. It has such a great sound, and don't even get me started on their interpretation of Life Is Real. Probably my favorite moment on the album.

Except this is about an album that actually exists, and not just inane ramblings...

It's appalling of me to pre-judge on so little information...

..but "The Panic Attack Song" seems likely to be cheesier than a cheesy thing.

Ever been to Ed's Easy Diner? The cheese sauce they put on the chips is almost sickly cheesy. Do you mean like that?

So anyway, like, totally! You know what I mean?

Anywho, how, where, when, and or why! So this is compilation featuring two new tracks and not an actual new "studio l.p."? That's cool. Let's go see what (if anything) the wonderful world of Wikipedia has to say about this! :D

...hmmm. Nothing! Yet. Someone get to work! :D
