Have forums had their day?

Its so quiet here.

Has Facebook sucked the life out of forums?

I know, I know, I know...........I'm a boring old fart but where have all the Queen fans gone?

Facebook in my eyes is an abomination (yes I did say I was a boring old fart) so here's a challenge to anyone reading this.

I double dare you to come here next Friday (and please ask all your friends too) and lets at least let QOL go out with a bang and not this pathetic whimper.

You up for some fun?
We have a week to make it happen. :)

It was interesting how some QOL stalwarts from the past posted on facebook about the 20th anniversary of Freddie's passing. But they didn't on here.

Just remembered that I've got to go to Ayr next Friday and might be staying over.

We could plan for a whole weekend of nonsense though.
Cummon everyone..................it was great fun.
We cannot leave QOL without a party. xxx

A couple of years ago, message boards certainly were social networks in their own right, only with limited availability of people. Sites like Facebook certainly helped to diminish message boards.

I think some have had their day, including this one. Of all the boards I posted on, I have never noticed such a change as this one.

Totally forgot about it. Besides it's not something I tend to 'celebrate'.

What are your plans?
Have to confess that I prefer spending the weekend not necessarily home alone in front of my PC. But I am certainly willing to write more of my useful entries here as usual 8-) .

Facebook is screwing up just about every topical forum i know.

There's room for both, but it's difficult to maintain too much interest in a forum dedicated to a defunct band, as opposed to a contemporary group that regularly records and tours.

I like facebook though; there you interact with people who are your friends and not because they happen to like a band that you do too.

I quite often consider deleting my FB account but never thought so about QOL.

Looks as though my idea was certainly a great success.

Going by the amount of posts here recently, I think the forums have had their day... :(
