Well I'm not technically minded so I'll just say it as it is.

Underneath the web address, whatever site I may be on, there used to be a box so I could just type in something on the page I'm on rather than go to Google and type it in there. I also had a translation button which also seems to have disappeared.

I've tried enabling Google and it says it is already on but even when I disable then put it back on - nothing happens. The translation thing going is rather irritating as I used that often.

:)

See? I told you I didn't know anything about it.

Thanks for your help. I've done that and it's all back now. I just don't understand why it went in the first place.

But thankyou. :)

http://www.boilsoft.com/movconverter/mp4converter.html

Not used this one but have used other boilsoft software and it's usually excellent.

Thanks PT. Ian, that one puts a watermark over the footage. Both worked really well though, very easy to use. Cheers guys.

Ah, I see we have a comedian in the house!
Just to warn you - last time I tried to be funny, I made sure that I had 5 different pens in my pocket to make a fairly weak joke at Pastie's expense. I need to sort out my priorities.

You're right about it being absurdly hot last night! Both windows open, still hotter than the sun. And before we start getting base again, that was the unadjusted room temperature.

My mum's home wireless network keeps playing up.
It's a BT Wireless Network 1250. The problem is that the broadband keeps disconnecting - as far as I can tell, it only does this when there are two (or more) computers connected. If just one is connected, the broadband link stays stable.

I've got the router plugged into the test socket within the master socket at the moment, which hasn't improved the situation.

Any ideas?
